Emerging Economies University Rankings 2019
Times Higher Education (THE) has published the results of a new ranking of universities in countries with an emerging economy - Emerging Economies University Rankings 2019.
The ranking includes 442 universities from 43 countries. Among them - 35 Russian universities (a year earlier there were 27). Kazan National Research Technological University entered the rating for the first time and was included in the group 351+. In total, there are 10 Russian universities in this group. Among them KNRTU has the best score on the indicator "Citations", as well as good points on the indicators "Industry income" and "International Outlook".
Universities were evaluated on 13 indicators, including the level of teaching, the quality of research activities, the volume of citation of scientific works, the inclusion of the university in the innovation processes and global research.
There are only two universities from the Republic of Tatarstan in the ranking: KNRTU and KFU, which also entered the ranking, sharing 99th position with the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and Hacettepe University (Turkey).
